i'm gonna continue with the awards =)

the addition of cable and the availability of shows through TV-VIDEO has made this a pretty good year tv-wise =)

TOP 10 TELEVISION PROGRAMMES of 2007

10) Princess Princess (Youtube) - ahhhh haha this japanese anime series was really good and utterly hilarious go find it on youtube! =)

9) The Ellen Show (Star) + The Oprah Show (Hallmark) - very amazing content on both these daytime television shows. I like Ellen's quirkiness and Oprah's power with the people and just all the kind of stuff they put on their shows =) The people they interviewed etc! I really liked the ones where Oprah showed the plastic surgery addicts, the rats of America with like the most filthy houses etc and also the corinne bailey rae one! As for ellen, pretty much every episode makes me feel really good. =)

8) Haunted Houses (Discovery) - This show checks out some of the haunted houses in America and finds out what the story is. Super my kinda show and super intriguing. Discovery keeps its usual style - making everything sound factual and all. Awesome. Loads of Discovery channel stuff was really good like the Flight Disasters ones, the Giant Structures ones.. yea haha

7) Hana Kimi (Channel U) - OMG you guys shd know how much I loved this show =) Utterly loved it. Fantastic cast and storyline hehe =)

6) Ugly Betty (Star) - Story about an ugly journalist? Man oh man, totally MY story! Hahaha. I love this show's plotline, and the bitches and all so hahas yea this show rocked =)

5) Ghost Whisperer (Ch5) - I LOOOOOOOOOVE this show!! Totally! The plot is gripping right now and I'm totally waiting for Season 3 to air!! Really really amazing. I like Supernatural too and sadly it didn't make the list but oh man, Ghost Whisperer was really really good =) Amazing stuff, amazing run!

4) CSI, CSI Miami, CSI NY (AXN) - I love the whole series of CSI! Horatio, Grissom and i forgot the last guy's name haha but woooweee i love this show! And there's a lot of eyecandy too =) i love how all the stories unfold and how they eventually find out who the killer is etc ROCK ON! =D

3) Prison Break (TV-VIDEO) - I really really love this story and how it all develops etc.. However, the killing off of Sara Tancredi really just made the whole show suck for me. And putting Mike back into prison, especially at Sona. Just seems so weird. Oh wells. Let's hope they get better.. And they should really finish up the story soon. I am so NOT interested in finding out how he and 'Molly' like each other or who is gonna play Molly. I just want Sarah Wayne Callies back. Sigh.

2) HEROES ( TV-VIDEO) - LALALA totally WORTH THE WAIT. Season 2 rocks balls!!! =) I can't wait for it to get back and just GIVE US MORE PEOPLE!!!! RAWR. I really can't wait. This show is ROCKIN-AWESOME

1) FRIENDS (DVD) - Thanks to Vita for the DVDs!!! =) I really love this series =) Awesome, touching, hilarious every episode, emotive, just works! Totally LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SHOWW! =)

BEST OF 2007:

Book - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (really wonderful piece of work! Couldn't put this book down! Lots of other books i read this year were great too like Absolution by Caro Ramsay and Final Notes from a Great Island by Neil Humphreys, Rape of Nanking by Iris Chang etc..)

Event - My birthday party =) Much Kudos to Val for arranging and all =) I'm sure it would have been a reeaaaally great event! Thanks so much. Super touched and for what it's worth i loved it =) Other events that were coming in close - Dinner at Indulgz, Campus Reporter,

Holiday - HONGKONG (featuring SHENZHEN wit EDNA). Totally rocked. Shopping rocked, sightseeing rocked, traveling rocked, hotel friggin ROCKED =) Coming in close were Phuket and Batu Pahat =) Think that's all the places i went to this year lol.

Gadget - My IPOD! =) Totally rock. But my new hp might kinda give my ipod a run for its money lol. Anything that can play music, show videos and pics is a good gadget in my book! =) BUT BUT My hp can also TAKE pics! And receive calls and msgs and all! lol.

Most Supportive Friend - Tough call b/w val, shui, arh ben, ann, tong, but anw, the winner is ANN!! =) Thanks for the support darling YOU ROCK =)

Most Desired Reunion (aka the reunion that I want to happen the MOST) - O LVL MUSIC ACSI Class of 2003!! Totally! It's gonna happen but I suppose it'll hafta be nx year =( Hahas. Totally miss my crazy wacky bunch - Denise, Sam, IsaacCZY, Darryl, Ningru, Shane etc! =) Other nominees for this included 4GY2003, HNLS4S2003, 04A03 (NJ), YJT9 and YJP24!

Most Rewarding Project/Assignment done - My ESL408 Research Paper =) Oooh so much work done this past year made this a definite MUST HAVE category! Hahas. Tough choice between this, the resume, the 317proposal, the 231 report and the 337 Lit review.. But yea i really just feel this sense of accomplishment from putting together my Research Paper. It was titled "Dress in the Corporate World - How the way you dress can affect your chances at scaling the corporate ladder" Awwww.. Really loved it. You guys can ask to read it haha. more than 10 pages altogether! =) Love it. And so much work went into it!! =)

Anyways, I'm not really one to make New Year's Resolutions but here are mine. Decided to really make a difference out of this coming year =)

1) Be involved in some charity work. (I did a little bit of charity fundraising this year but not fulfilling enough) Preferably something to do with children=)

2) Lose about 8-12kg! Haha. Frivolous, superficial but hey i wanna do it! Haha. And btw, i'm giving myself a WHOLE YEAR to do this ok so I can do it ok! =) Lol.

3) Get a better sleeping pattern! I wanna sleep by 11pm and wake at about 8am for most days of the week from next year onwards! =)


Yay. I particularly like No. 1 =) Who wants to join me! Hahas. And I will need someone to help me with No. 2!!=D Siyingzi!!! Wanna be gym buddies again?! Hehe =) Ohwells. Anyway it goes, yea winn. haha. Happy New Year guys!! =)

pounding headache now... grrr...

alright i last event blogged on Wed... Ok think I had a rather slack wed coz esl got cancelled last min so i didn't go down ta sch.. So all i did was have tuition i think.. Yepp... Thursday... Went to sch (was late for 337 dammit! coz i overslept coz wed night i pia-ed my reading summaries till late late) and had lessons.. Had lotsa 337 meetings.. Yea.. Then basic lesson at night for cca.. Then cca meeting.. Sian... Then went for dinner... Thought up name for our competition.. Yepp...

Friday was an ok day.. Went to sch for ESL.. After esl i happened to see tong n tai an outside some lt.. Hung wit em for a short while, then went to meet darryl to discuss our 883 thing.. Yayy funnily enough, just by being a finalist we both got the 500 in cash and 100 in T3 hampers le!! Wahaha goodness knows i need it. Wahaha =) Yayy am happy =) Then met suyee to pass her my timetable.. Then darryl and I saw Louis walking around sch so he joined us then we went table-hunting for awhile.. Then sat down and the guys tried to study.. We chatted for a bit, then I left to meet Greg(student!) at Yew Tee Mac's... Hahah we talked a LOT... Oh and this other student Li Hao also joined us.. Talked talked talked.. Yepps.. Then I left to have dinner at home! Slept early coz I was so exhausted.. Almost wanted to sleep at 10pm but went to watch Ghost Whisperer wit my momsy =) Even my dad knows my mom and I appreciate watching this show tgt - he called me out of my room at 10 to say "Your mommy is watching the ghost show already!" lol.

I slept right after the show.. Was so uber tired.. Slept till 2pm this aftnn.. Heh. Felt alright.. A bit sluggish.. My parents actually asked me ytd if I was free on Tuesday for dinner and well, my Tuesday's booked so nope.. I told them tt today was fine for dinner (coz I have plans for Sunday and Monday and Tuesday..) so yea.. They asked me if i wanted to join them in the afternoon to bring a client around, i declined and ended up watching the MUST SCREAM TV on Star for a few hours.. LOL. It was a SIMPSONS HALLOWEEN SPECIAL MARATHON. Lol. Was good. Super stupidly hilarious =) Mom made (instant)noodles for me with (fried)egg! YUMMM!

Alright then went to meet them at church for dinner.. Was expecting a dreary dinner having to entertain dad's client.. But it was ok all in all =) We had a nice dinner at Palm Beach at Boat Quay... After dinner we took a nice Riverboat ride around Boat Quay and Clarke Quay area.. I tell ya, it was like visiting another world =) Singapore River area is so gorgeous at night! Dad took a whole lotta crazy pics! Hahahaha. He's so enthu.. Dad's client (lucy) and I were really amused by him.. Haha oh yea Lucy said I'd make a great New Yorker and strongly encourages me to go work/study in NY.. Haha she'll be posted to Colorado soon i think.. Right now they're in Diego or sth.. Yea.. LOL. She thinks i'll make a good tour guide too. WAHAHAH. Man, ppl need to stop telling me this kinda stuff (about my speaking etc) coz I'll feel like I'm not good at anything else.

On a side note, tong thinks I should give up on singing. FEEDBACK PLS

Ok anyways, after d riverboat ride we walked around for a bit and then sent Lucy back to her hotel then went home.. I ended up having a pounding headache till now.. Grr..

Dad asked me what I wanted for my bday.. Haha! At that moment I realized I didn't know what I wanted! Actually, I didn't have anything i REALLLY wanted/needed! Haha. I was contemplating asking for a new lappie or printer or sth! But I've just come to a great idea! I'm gonna ask my dad to just pay for me to go rebond my hair and get a mani n pedi done =) Yayy. Will go do my hair tomorrow! Heh. Not sure abt my mom. Let her get me what she wants la!

Anw! I wanted to blog some stuff coz I want to put these things as my msn nick.. Haha. Look arh! "When your dreams turn to dust, it's time to vacuum" LOL =) Val says it's v tongue-in-cheek. I think so too! But i just thought it was funny but a bit melancholy at the same time heh. Ok great i can change my nick now *goes to change my nick* Alright! It's now "public enemy no 8745640J" hahaha. It's random ok! RANDOM! hahahhaha don't anyhow anyhow think that is my nric no lol. i just picked the no out of thin air ok

i'm on the phone wit val now and am really rather distracted so can't blog properly lol. but anw, i'm really excited abt Monday =) Due to some silly little slip, I've discovered tt something BEEEG is going on for my bday celeb on Mon so yea I'm really excited about it =) Here's my bday celeb schedule. Sun: Hmm.. Part family part yvonne&bina they all ba. If I eventually decide to go join them.. Haha. They invited me down to Loof coz the whole restaurant is booked for some bday celeb =) I think i'll be going if they ask again la heh

So that's what I did today (and part of yesterday).. I had some me-time.. I watched a lot of tv after doing some sch work.. Basically watched Heroes SIIEP5, Numbers, Everybody Loves Raymond, Ellen, Oprah (well, mainly ellen but just the corinne bailey rae part of oprah) and Amazing Race the ALL STARS edition.. Ytd i went for cca in sch after tuition... Been feeling a bit unwell lately.. Needa detox and eat healthy!

I'm gonna watch CSI Miami and CSI later.. Heh. Thank God for cable.. I'll be pia-ing my reading summaries at the same time though! =)

TV is therapeutic I suppose =) I cried a bit when watching Oprah.. It was just so moving to see Corinne Bailey Rae's mom being so proud of her... And I was just thinking, my own mother would never ever be so proud of me. Sigh. Ohwells. Let's not talk abt tt.

Eh, i forgot what i wanted to blog abt.. Hmm.. Well, just now I received a call from the 88.3JIA FM people... Actually tt day during the guitar performance thing the 88.3FM ppl were in school and a bunch of us tried out (very spontaneously) for some competition thing. I didn't really have any clue what it was about but it was interesting so i just tried lor... then today got called lol.

maybe my true calling is hosting/deejaying/emcee-ing. wahaha. So anyways, Darryl and I will be representing SIM in the Campus Reporter competition.. Well I was reading a really interesting article and here's a part of it:

I've witnessed many people adopting singlehood for a myriad of reasons. I certainly would not put it down to a lack of opportunity because friends can be made and networks can be created anytime, anywhere. Neither would I think an age gap of 6-8 years is a deterring factor for many people.

The greatest challenge of converting an acquaintance to a life-long partner lies in the journey to become part of his or her life. Every individual would have been part of a circle of friends and comfortably leading life in his/her comfort zone. It does not only take desire, but genuine action and effort to gain the trust and acceptance that you can be part of his or life. It is about touching the heart of the person you love; it is about creating emotional dependence between 2 individuals; it is about shifting mental models; it is about taking somebody out of his or her comfort zone of existing friendships to lead a new life with you; it is about making him or her feel comfortable communicating with you; it is about giving hope to each other.

It is not about opportunities or the lack of them. Neither is it about age gaps.

Interesting eh? I can really see the truth in it, especially the parts i bolded. Heh.. Yea well.. Food for thought. Think abt it!
